Ok, i'll try and wet sand them and see what happens. If it looks better, i'll post up more pics.

 

I think it looks good.

 

Wetsand them with 2000 grit and then put on a few HEAVY coats of clear. Clear works better when its put on thick, at least the kind you can buy in a aersol can at autozone does. I had the same problem with mine. Do some heavy coats of clear, light wetsand and then polish them with Meguiars PlasitX and they will shine

 

I couldn't find 2000 grit but did find 1500 grit. It says it's for polishing mirrors and clearcoats. Guess i'll give it a try.

 

Don't do the headlights. I remember when I bought my Camaro it came with smoke head light covers. Now granted LT1 Camaro head lights suck, but i couldn't tell that they were even on sometimes. A cop was following me and pulled me over one time cause he thought my head lights were off. He gave me a warning and told me to throw the damn things away. They never went on the car again.

 

Good to know man. I was leaning towards not doing the headlights.

I love the look, but for saftey reasons would never do something like that. Especially with all the damn drunks and tourists out here. I laugh at people with those. You can't see their taillights durring the day for ****, just asking for some dumbass to run into them...

 

Update:
Sanded them with 1500 grit sandpaper, then put a thick *** clear coat on them. I know you really can't see very well in the pics. . . but they do look better now. More shinyer.

UPDATE: recently i've noticed that the black has faded and they're becoming clear again. Any ideas why this has happened?
