You're welcome. I know how frustrating it is to show up and not have the tools you need then having to improvise, if possible.

Thanks Bob C of Indiana.

But I'm thinking that it would cost more to ship than what the seller is asking.

I'm hoping to find one that matches the body lines a little better.

I have yet to visit any junk yards here. It has to be done in the mornings because it's just too damn hot in the afternoons. It's only June and we've already had 104f temperatures.

I do appreciate your looking it up for me.

I have been looking for a long time for a sign shop to make me a magnetic sign to put on my tailgate. No luck at a affordable price.Found one that quoted $50, but they move slow as molasses,I have yet to get a response.

Would that be a sign for your business?

I curious, what would you put on it?

Ron re-read my post,on my tailgate,it would be like a refrigerator magnet but 30" X 3.5" in size.

I found a tailgate that will work.
It's off a 'xx Ranger "Sport". I don't know the year.
It's black and in fair shape. The handle is there but one side on the inside is broke so I will probably find one to replace it.

My question is in the installation.
There's a little threaded bracket that fits on the other side of the wall that the outside bracket is screwed into. These two brackets sandwich the wall between them.

On the right side it's there already. On the left it's missing on the inside, but I have a replacement.
How do you get the inside bracket on the inside to hang on the little tab that positions and holds it so you can thread in the bolts?

Thanks Guys,

Ron

You have to remove the rear tailamps to be able to hold it in place while you bolt it down.

I will check that out.
Thank you Hillyard.
I might be able to slip the inside bracket in place either from the top through the tail light hole of maybe through the bottom.
I haven't had time to actually look.

Thanks again Hillyard for your help. It's greatly appreciated.

Ron
