pic and model requests: front end, grills and bumpers
so as many of you know, my front end on my 07 fx4 lvl ii is munched (see below) now my insurance is going to fix it, i talked to the shop, they are willing to replace the broken parts with a differen't years parts, if i want... which is what i was planning on doing before the accident, but just didn't have the money at the time...
ok, so first thing, is my grill, i am looking for a picture of the honey comb grills. the best i can tell, there are 2 different ones, the one i am looking for i believe was on the 04-05ish models, and i think the level ii's had them, they are fully honey comb, from headlight to headlight (plus the surround of course) the other (which i am NOT looking for, but wouldn't mind pictures) has 2 vertical sections inside the honey comb section, making it a 3 section grill...
next is the bumper... i know some model had a bumper that would line up with my grill/headlight line, and is similar to the one directly below this, but has fog lights, and the bumper is body colour (will be dgs on mine) basically what i am looking for is the upper bumper to be flat on the bottom, so it can be run without the vallence, and it does not end before the fender

If the hood on your truck is not damaged, you will not be able to use the honeycomb grill that you want.
Starting in 01 and going to 03, they had the full honeycomb grill with what I call the "tall powerdome" hood. Look at this 03 here.
As you can tell, the honeycomb doesn't have the "grill nostril" vertical bars and the front of the hood runs flat across.
Starting in 04 and running until 06 I think, they used the grill shown directly above me with the vertical bars, but no horizontal bars. The hood changed also. The powerdome portion of the hood doesn't come up as high and the front edge of the hood has a small cut out for the new front grill. Also, I think they stopped making the hood out of fiberglass in 04 also.
To sum up, if your hood is being replaced too, you can get the 01-03 front end. You'll need a new grill and grill surround, and I'm pretty sure you'll need the 01-03 header panel as well (what the grill attaches to). The headlights and corners are the same though I believe. If your hood is not being replaced, you are limited to 04 and newer grills.
For bumpers, 01 to 03 had rounder lines and round foglights, like you see on my 03 in the picture. In 04 they changed to more boxy bumpers with square headlights, and it looks like they've stayed that way. I think you may be able to mix and match bumpers with grills, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
Hope that's what you're looking for.

so the grill i'm looking for is going to have to be aftermarket... i just want something i can put lights behind...
i'm thinking i'll get the honey comb grill with nostrils, body colour surround, and then change the insert to aftermarket, at some point..
this is the bumper i am looking for, but body colour, and with fogs (hopefully square, but if they only come with round, they only come with round...
NOT this one (look at how it meets the fender) the valence has this lip on the end, which would give what i think would be an odd look. when i remove my valence, which is my plan (i want ground clearance)
what year is this grill off of, and what model?
*****edit*****
oh, and the hood is bent on the drivers side, right above the headlight, it's creased, and it's bowed mid fender, you can see it in one of the pics, look at the gap running the length of the fender, although i don't think they will replace it, i think they will just straighten it and re-paint
