I know this isn't exactly what you had in mind but the reflectors are black. Maybe it will give you an idea about the light output. There can be no question that it affects it somewhat but it works for me.

yeah that definitely helps.. thanks for the pics. i was takin a look at my corners today and i noticed that right around the bulb the silver part is pushed in and near the outside it's closer to the lense (not sure if that really makes sense haha i'll put a pic up tomorrow). anyway.. my idea was to paint only the outer part and leave the reflective surface closer to the bulb silver. do you think that would look ok?

180 on ebay, or the cost of paint and natural gas to do them yourself...

dang larson.. i really like the look of your corners. i think i may do it that way. did you still keep the original brightness of the light? it seems like painting the whole thing would dull it considerably. are you happy with the result?

Don't have pics of my lights on...but this gives you an idea of two different kinds of methods. First time I left a lot of silver. 2nd time I left only a small strip of the reflector.

1st set

2nd (current) set

To be honest, I haven't even looked at how much light I'm getting at night time through the corners but I'm sure it isn't much.

wow.. i guess my idea wasn't original at all haha. i think i like the look of it with just the outside painted. plus it's easier to just paint more rather than removing the paint haha. i wanna do it but i'm kinda scared to.. don't wanna break anything

Damn dude, I haven't seen you on in forever.

If you notice on my first set of corners there is a slight bump on the bottom. I melted the corners a lil too much in the oven on the rack.

On my 2nd set, I put the corners into a big pot of boiling water holding onto them using hotdog tongs. It was easier to control allowing me check if the lens would come off more often and no risk of the metal rack melting the lens.

Didn't take very long before the boiling water heated up the glue enough to take off the lens.
