Ok, new guy here, I just picked up a 2011 Ranger for my Son's first vehicle. I believe it is more or less a base model, 4 cyl, auto, A/C, AM/FM, cruise with manual windows & locks. I would like to put in some Factory Style driving lights, I found several on Flea Bay, some were in like a second shell or bucket. Since mine came from the factory without any I'm not sure what all I'll need. The wiring is no problem, I can do all that myself. What years of the driving lights interchange?

They're about the same 03+ but you should be able to just swap a valence in off another one with the lights in it. The cleanest install would be to put a new radio bezel in it with the factory fog light switch for the control of the lights.

 

Sounds good, I didn't think about changing the bezel and getting a factory switch, thanks for the tip. So I'm thinking the ones in the link in my first post should work.

You can pick up a different valence as said above. It will come with the cut outs for the fog lamps or you could probably cut out the existing "blanks" yourself and find a way to mount the lights. You can get a different bezel if you want to use a OEM switch as well. a member on here, buggman, makes a harness kit for aux lights and he can include a switch for a little bit extra.

 

I'm in luck, I just checked the valence that's on it and it has the place for driving lights in it already, the round covers on them are held in by nuts on the back of the 'bucket' like the lights will be. It looks like the ones in the link will work.

Awesome, sounds like all you need to do is worry about wiring. Personally I would try to make it look as OEM as possible. Maybe go snag the harnesses and stuff from the junk yard.

 

It would look a lot nicer if it looked like OEM. We only have a small JY locally I'll get over there Monday and see if I can find a factory switch, radio bezel, interior light and maybe a wiring harness.
