camera wasnt charged so this is with the blackberry...not the best pic but you get the idea about the extra light reflecting around but the projectors do have a nice cutoff

wonder if the blacked out version of these headlight housings have the same output? anyone????

nope bought them like that. the most common way to get the headlights apart are to put them in a heated oven for a few minutes to soften up the sealant inbetween the lense and housing, then have fun playing the hulk pulling them apart.

well after a few weeks driving with my hids in im not sure if im fully happy with these housings. the light pattern on the road isnt even. there seems to be some empty spots not a full area of light...ill try to get some pics tomorrow night to post up.

has anyone else noticed this with these housings?

it isnt an HID problem i saw it with the regular bulbs in but just more noticable with hids. may be back to the drawing board to see what else i come up with.

I have HID in my stock reflector housings and it works great. the light is a little scatered to the sides, but directly in front its a pretty well defined beam. Try your HID bulbs in the stock headlights.

if i have read right, people with the stock housings that have a round reflector, HIDs work good in.

i dont know if you can see my housings in that pic. dont think they will work right in those either.

In the pic from the cell phone, the light does have some dark spots but it also does not appear to carry very far down the road.

since youve done a bit of work already, id look into some tsx or other projector housings, and fab them in. Im not sure your going to get much quality out of the ones your running now.
