projector halo headlights......
So did u take that half circle piece out? what was the change?
I have the exact same ones in black and noticed high beams when I click them on arent far at all, but the normal lights are brighter then what I had before so its not huge deal.

im not sure if we can just replace the projector part of the housing.....i might cut one open next weekend to see what i can see...or just drive with what i have and retro fit another set into my other housings
10k, are more purple than blue.
all you need are these parts.

those housing look a like a really good starting point for a retro. they already have a larger style projector in them, unlike other ones that are smaller or even a factory housing.

well if you do end up cutting yours open find out what size the projector is and maybe we can find one around the same size and fab it in cuz i want a nice big spread but noone makes really good projectos for rangers
not too sure if i will cut into them soon..my truck is my DD..but i just bought a harley so when that gets here ill be driving that or my 7....crapy thing is that wont happen for about 4 wks..so i think ill just drive as is for now unless one day i get a wild hair up my
monte, I've got the same housing's as you just black, and I'm having the same problem. I have Pilot BI-xenon 8000k HIDS installed right now in mine and I'm in the same boat. They just kinda wash out, and the spread just isn't there. I had a better spread and illumination with my stock housing's and HIDS. I'm going to check to see if my housing's had the steup-up plate in the projector's too. I think the spread is actually affected by the overall size and shape of that projector housing. My HIDS are actually in our "LOW" beam position, and I have regular halogen lights in the projector....or the ones that came with it. ...a h1 bulb I think. which I don't even use my projector's that much, because the light output sucks.
well i tried acouple different things during the summer but never came up with a solid plan. i got ahold of some projectors from an older bmw and took them apart to see if i could use any parts from that to make mine better, but came up with nothing. so for now im stuck with the crappy output and pattern that these projectors put out. not sure what options i have left. but for now i wont be doing much research on it, im in afghan country for a few months. but if someone comes up with a BA idea please post it up so i have something to do when i get home.
rangernvs - any ideas on what to do to make it better or fix this issue?
