Icon5 Push/Light Bar

Hey Guys,

What's a good bolt on push bar (w/light mounts) for an 03 Ranger? Looking for a chrome one. I know this question has been asked several times, but what is the widest tire you can put on the stock 16x9 wheel? I looking to get a wider look, stick out from the fender about an inch or so, vs going taller.

youcan put 12.50s or 13.50s on a 9" wheel....but ranger 16" wheels are 7" wide. Even then you can put on a 12.50 tire....tire manufacturers don't suggest it, tire shops don't suggest it either, but it can be done.

Chrome push bar......I honestly never seen one for a newer ranger. I know someone was talking about chrome plating their Waag bar, but dont think anything ever came of it.

The Westin safari bar is nice, but if you like chrome, go for the Westin Bull bar as pictured above.

I just put this one on my truck:

Both the safari bar and the bull bar come in black and chrome. My safari bar was $100 (black) at autozone but it didnt include mounts ( I made my own). The safari bar is 1.5 inch tube and doesnt have a skid plate. The bull bar is 2 inch tube and includes the skid plate. The Bull Bar will run you about $250 for black.

The lights I used were some cheapo Pilot lights also from autozone. They were $50 and included all the wiring, fuses, and a switch. THey work pretty good.

Search Craigslist as well. I found my black Westin light bar with two SS Pro-Comp lights for $50.

i just came back from auto zone, cap and advance auto and the cheapest i could find a black westin bull bar for was $300.44. as far as side steps.. it seems like the universal ones are around $270ish for chrome, but i dont want to hassle with trying to make them fit. the westin steps are $300+.. also for the bullbar it says that the "plastic shroud must be removed, and license plate relocation kit PN [32-0055] may be requierd". < dose anyone know if this is true? or are they just covering there ***?

and what plastic shroud are they talking about?

thanx for the help guys.. sorry for hijackin this thread i should of opend my own.

There is a small 'shroud' on my 03 right under the front bumper. It's plastic and does not to anything if you ask me. I like the looks of the 2 inch bars, and the full skid plate.
It looks like the bull bars need the front tow hooks removed?
