Quick HID question

I got a HID kit (9007 hi/lo) and put it in yesterday, its not DDM its a brand called truss (a couple friends got the same one) anyway the lo's are blue (8k) but when i put my hi beams on they are like a regular halogen color kind of like yellowish tan. Is this normal? I was hoping for even brighter blue. Any input is appreciated.

does your kit use two bulbs? some have a smaller halogen bulb built into the hid housing inside the headlight

just look into the front of the housing and you can see the bulbs

Just a thought... I've heard of people installing the aftermarket HID's and for some reason the connectors are always reversed (high=low and low=high) I would expect the blue to be the high beam and the yellow to be the low. Try reversing the connectors, they should both take the same voltage.

You have a hi/ lo kit that is a HID lo beam and a halogen hi beam. Nothing is wrong with your kit and it will not fry anything. That is how some companies sell their hi/los

IF U WOULD WANT YOUR HI'S TO B BRIGHTER YOU CAN ALSO GET BI-XENON LIGHTS. WHICH BOTH THE LOW'S AND HI'S WOULD BE BRIGHTER.
