R/R center grille + painting trim parts on '05

Looking at this pic makes realize i need to paint up the grille, and probably some of the plastic bumper parts and such.

Whats the method for removing the grille from the truck?

Whats the best paint to use? also prep tricks?

Theres like 5 screws on the header panel on the top holding the grille in place. And those two push-in clip things holding the bottom in.

Duplicolor adhesion promoter FTW!

He's talking about snapping the insert out of the shell. Just some little clips hold it in but they break super easy. Then just hit it with some Krylon Fusion black, no need for adhesion promoter.

ok.....but i thought the question was removing the grille from the truck....then taking the inner grille out of the shell.

Well i taped mine off and took the whole assy out. Used some krylon 'fusion' i had around that was for plastic. Hosed it off, scrubbed it off the best i could and shot some brake cleaner on it...seems to be holding up fine. Going to do the fog housing next i figure
