Rear Bumper Complete

Well i finished building me a rear bumper. Started with a piece of scrap square tubing, turned it into something simple and clean. I also put a pic of my new t-case that's goin in on saturday.

Thanks to all! and i used the 3" body lift brackets and shortened them and then welded them to the bumper.

Don't like it at all. Leaves a lot to be desired and needs more character and design.

Well i wasn't out to make it look all spiffy. It's exactly what i wanted. I back into a lot of brush at night time and i kept waitin to hit my stock bumper on a tree and mess it all up so i wanted something i wouldn't have to worry about.

Functional, but not pretty. I would have taken a little more time on it.

you should get some sheet metal and fill that bumper/tailgate gap. then it would look great!

Nah. I think that would look dumb. I never have been a big fan of gap guards. Cause your not filling it in. Your putting a piece of diamond plate, or sheet metal and i just have never like the look at all. If i was gunna fill the gap. I would cut off the brckets. Shorten the bumper to fit in the bedrails and move it up and maybe a little closer to the truck.

Well, I like it, clean and simple. Want something along the same lines, but have zero welding skills.

i like it, kinda the same idea as me i back into the trees lots too and i got tired of ****ing up the corners of my truck so i took the bumper off my s10 (4"x4" square tubing) and welded it on. for my license plate i drilled 2 holes and added two 7/16ths bolts and a couple of lock nuts to hold it on.

one thing i have found though is when your wheeling and you go into a ditch or something it bends the **** out of the licence plate mines all bent lol.
