Roll Pan
There are bolt in rollpans, but to mold it in so that it looks like the sides are smooth, and there is no gap, body work is involved..........
If you have a flareside, there are 2 bed clips behind the bumper......to rekmove them, body work is required.

'sspare tire mount may need modication with some pans...not sure which ones if not all. Stepsides need body work to relocate 2 bolts behind the stock bumper and if you desire the shaved rollpan look body work is required.
Also, welcome to the site! and its not a stupid question...but just remember that the search feature is your friend...odds are similar/same questions have been discussed before so dont forget to employ that resource when modding.

but what if you took yours off already?
i want to get one, but i think ill just bolt it on. With it being an offraod truck, ii think with the flexing of the body and stuff, it may start to unmold the rollpan. making cracks and stuff.

93-97 have a different style spare tire carrier from a 98-06
98-06 require so modification to the carrier, either cut/trim it back, or cut relief cuts and pound it in
