Running Boards Problem.......

I purchased some running boards off ebay (yes I know, ebay is a lil risky ) for a supercab, which I have. The problem is the guy sent 4 door running boards, which I don't mind, I kinda like the extra foot spot on them. They are the correct length to fit a supercab, but the rear brackets that came with the kit are for the 4 door and I am not seeing how they can fit on the supercab.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have brackets for tubular running boards for a 98-00 ranger? Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh and I did try to work with the guy I bought them from, but I didn't do so till a month later which has made that impossible, and I called Ford to try to get some brackets and they don't make the bars anymore, and they have never sold parts individually. So I am on my own now.

Thanks for any help in advance..........

the mounts are different on 4 doors VS 2 door extended cabs, you should have asked first. even 2 door ext cabs go all the way like the one's you just bought

Very very VERY late reply (I know) but I stumbled upon the same issue and came up with my own solution. After searching and searching for help, hopefully I can help someone who needs an answer in the future as well. What I did was call multiple muffler shops and explain the issue. Basically: Bought some running boards and the brackets don’t math the trucks. However the brackets make contact with the trucks under body and all I need is to weld the connections together to hold. Got a few quotes ranging from $200-350 , a friend who also is a welder ended up doing it for free (still gave him some cash) and came out looking like factory installed. I’ll post up some pictures of how the welds look.
