I would do that but the only problem is that they have pins on the back of the emblems..i mean i could shave the pins off but then it would be a pain in the but to get it straight...maybe one day though haha

Where did you get the 3rd brake light + bed light? Also, how is the install on it? I'm VERY limited when it comes to doing electrical wiring.

if you got a phillips screw driver, you can do this mod. Unscrew the stock one, unplug the wiring. When you get the cargo lamp one, make sure you get the harness that has the three bulbs......2 for cargo, 1 for brake. It's a direct swap...unplug your own harness, plug in the new, screw on the 3rd brake like back to the truck, done. Completely plug and play...no extra wiring needed, other than the 3 plug harness which just plugs into where your old one was. What I just typed will make alot more sence when you take off the lamp.....and i aint got pics. lol.

Sounds like something that even I couldn't screw up. Lol. Is there a particular vendor that's got a good price on the combo cargo/3rd brake light? Or just whatever's on eBay?

hit up ebay.....or here. It doesn't have to be a ranger one either, it can be a F250/350 Super Duty one as well. I got mine at a local junkyard for $10.

I thought with the 04+ you had to run a power wire from the dome light to power the cargo lights?
