The truck I'm looking at has a small rust spot on the lower part of the tailgate, typical stepside tailgate. Have any of you guys repaired that if you got it or should i just buy a newer tailgate without the rust?

Its not that bad, heres a pic.


the dent can be pulled out so im not worried about that

i had the same thing i cut out the crap and fiber glassed it. so far so good almost a year now.

 

Arent you swapping to a fleetside if you buy the stepside truck?

New tailgate, 100 bucks at certifit...I was going to buy a spare the last time I was there but it was out of stock
