Hello Ranger Forums! first time poster here.

Anyways, what year did Ford start changing the decals on the Tailgates? I have pictures to referrence to.
The newer ones have a big FORD symbol in the middle of the tailgate, and a Silver RANGER decal on the lower left corner. here---> http://philadelphia.kijiji.com/c-Vie...?set_id=1C4000

Yea....'06 is when they changed the 'look' of the truck, including taillgihts, emblems, and the big rear emblem was added.


I actually converted my '01 gate to look like a '06+ gate. Pulled off the stock Ford emblem, there's alignment holes, so i used '06+ fender emblems to cover them up. Then applied the Ford huge emblem in the center of the gate. Looks great imo. I call it a 'fake' '06+ tailgate. lol.

The reason I asked is because I'm buying an 03 Ranger FX4, and it has the newer tailgate on it, w/ the big emblems. Me being a Ranger enthusiast I am, I thought the tail gate looked too new for the 03, I guess I was right! It must have gotten replaced for a reason.....?
Anyways, thanks for the reply's guys!
