Taillight interchange

I have a 97 fleetside. Been looking for aftermarket tailights, and this is what I like. Will they fit a 97?

What years are compatible with the 93-97?

they will fit but u have a three bulb setup turn, brake, reverse and that style like the 00-up have the 2 bulb setup turn/brake combined and reverse.......u can mod your tails to a 2 bulb setup

Great, thanks. Not a biggie to mod, been doing it all my life. Just wanted to make sure that the housing was the same size.

Can anybody else chime in on what other years will fit my truck? Is it just the fact that one bulb is missing, or are there other issues that prevent an 01 lens from fitting a 97?

any tail from 93+ will physically fit. different years have different numbers of bulbs and socket arrangements.

great. the lights are supposed to be a christmas gift, and the giver is sooooo finicky, I didn't want them to not fit. I am adept at using a dremel so no worries about the 3 to 2 change.

or you can use my write up on how to change it to a 2 bulb system.....i have had it done on my truck for over a year now with no problems....
