tow hooks

i was browing online at jc whitneys website and saw these tow hooks. wondering if they would be good.
tow hooks
if i did get them where would be a good place to mount them on my truck. 1997 ranger xlt reg cab.

You could mount them to the frame underneath your front bumper?

the front half of a 93-97 frame isnt the best its different then ours. BUT i acully have these and was gonna make a support bar kinda like a front cross member and they would be welded/bolted to that and they would exit out the gap in our bumpers. just never got around to it...

Save yourself some money, those are $8. I don't know if they come with mounting hardware, but that's an easy find at any Home Depot like place.

Mounted anywhere to the front of the frame should be pretty good, you just might have to cut some holes into the valance for access to them... or you can always take the valance off for when you go wheeling.

The JC whitney ones are a better deal because they come with all of the hardware and are sold in pairs, the ones on northern are singles

go to ace hardware and they have them. i had to drill one hole in my fram to get mine on and i love it its great

I'm curious, why didn't you also get a pair for the rear? I like the ones you got, because they have the spring clip to keep the tow strap or rope from slipping off.
