Really easy. I think 3 nuts on top, 4 on the bottom and 1 or 2 on each side. I already had my plastic and headliner out so the bolts were super easy to get to. I got a fresh rope of the licorice/window dope at a local paint store for $6 and the window needed a little persuasion to come out once unbolted. Also, those little bolts are help in my the rubber seal of the window as you will see before you put the new one it. Be careful cranking them down when reinstalling as they can come out. I actually got better results using a long ratchet strap to put constant pressure on the window and help it overnight. Also, doing this in the heat fo the day will help the fresh window sealant be more pliable.

IIRC I put a few 2 by 4s vertical across the window and put the strap around the cab with the door either open or windows down and slowly used that pressure to seat the window, not sure if it helped but I bought window rope that was a little too thing and needed to be "oozed" in a bit. Does that work or do I need to whip up some sort of crappy paint photo?

Not to hijack the thread, but is a paint shop the only place to get that window rope? I have looked around at the local autoparts stores and everyone keeps pointing to the thicker window goop that is usually used for windshields and rear windows. Then when I tell them what I need, I get this look from them like I spoke jibber-jabber. I got a sliding window from the junkyard I am planning on putting in place of my solid one-piece glass. I want a new piece of that stuff before removing my window and finding out my old rope rips apart or possibly not good enough to make the transfer to the new window.

I think the headliner would need to come down to effectively get to the nuts, I had mine down due to a window leak that stained my headliner. I just took everything down, things above the latches on the extended cab doors, dome light, hanger hook on back wall, visors (OHC if you ave one), and A-pillars. I think that is all what is involved with the headliner, not 100% sure it was over a year ago.
