Im having ALOT of trouble putting a WAAG bar on my 2001 Ranger Edge. has any1 had ANY problems putting a WAAG Center Guard On Their Edge?

My problem is the upper brackets I believe they are called (at work right now so i dont have instructions in front of me) and them actully going between the bumper and the grille, they are hitting what looks like some kind of plastic shield. and I cant figure out how to get it off.

If You or someone you know has had any problems with the waag center guard and putting it on a Ranger Edge please let me know. mabe its the same problem or mabe theirs something else i need to look out for.
