WAAG owners unite for a question!

Do you guys think a WAAG bar is strong enough to push a car if the car was in nuetral?

I was out with some friends the other day (not in my truck) and there was a van broken down in the middle of the turning lane totally blocking traffic, so a few of us hopped out and pushed it through the intersection for the lady while she waited for the tow truck. It just got me thinking about pushing it had my truck been there.

What do you dudes think?

A friend of mine was stuck in some very shallow mud/wet grass, and a little bump from the WAAG bar was just enough to get him back to where he had traction. It IS strong enough, but I wouldn't go ramming into things either. I was lucky because his truck was lifted to where the middle of the WAAG bar lined up perfectly with his bumper.

The WAAG bar has been out of production for some time. There have been VERY limited production runs of them since then because a member of Generation-Edge.com (before it closed down) convinced them to make them. They were pre-order only and cost between 200 and 230 dollars plus shipping (another 30 dollars or so). There were some mishaps with the last run they made, so I don't think there will be another order going. Your only bet is going to be to check the classifieds. I'm not sure it will fit a truck as old as yours though.

Gotcha. If I get myself a new bumper I may sell mine... but that's not for certain and it won't be for a long time anyway.

not enuff demand. i think their marketing strategy with them was a lil funky. if they marketed the bars like they do the full coverage bars i think alot of people would buy them, expecially considering that they bolt right up with a lil bit of swearing and about 8hrs of your time. I was lucky, Robin ordered an extra on the last order and i got it. the 'screw up' was the lack of 'waag' imprinted on the top bar facing forward. personally, i prefer it to not be imprinted, oh and they werent pre drilled, another lil quirck that didnt bother me.

as far as pushing other vehicals with it, i dont know about that. i mean lets be realistic, there is nothing on the supports that would stop any kind of bending, and its bolted to stamped sheet metal. personally i wouldnt push anything with that bar unless it was life or death. considering u cant buy the bars anymore anywhere, its practically irreplaceable.

back the marketing, i think if they offered the end pieces in chrome they would have sold more.
