What Tonneau Cover?

I want to get a tonneau cover for my 2002 Ranger Edge Supercab Short Bed 4x2. Styleside. I can't decide on just one that I have looked at. Post here to tell me what you got and where from and how much! Thanks in advance

I havn't gotten mine yet, but ARE has the LS II model that has the same lines and contours as the Ranger EDGE powerdome hood. It would look SWEEt on your truck.

I have used Extang Classic Platinum covers on both my current and my last truck. I love'em. Price was somewhere around $100. I bought online, damned if I don't remember where.

I have an Extang Platinum as NHBubba has. It's great, paid around 200 at a local shop.
Its easy to take on and off, I do at least once a week to haul lawnmowers.
Saves a little on gas. Looks great.
It's nice cause you can flip the snaps around to be tighter in the summer or looser in the winter.

well it is not as inexpensive as the Extang model mentioned above, but I really like my Access LTD
no snaps, bars roll up with the top, internal lock, seals very well
installed myself in about an hour, easily adjusted to be a tight as a drum
used it in -20 weather in Vermont with over 18 inches of snow on it
ACCESS LTD EDITION TONNEAU

Neil,

Your tonneau has a lock on it? Can you elaborate?

Thanks,

Kyle

the cover locks from the inside
you have to open the tailgate and turn the handle to unlock it
check out the link, there are videos
the cover can not come up without unlocking the back bar
even if you pick up the sides (velcro) the bars prevent you from lifting it
if you had a lock on the tailgate handle it would really be secured since you could not open the gate to unlock the tonneau

My dad had one of those on his 03 FX4. It cost him 400 installed. It is cool but I still like mine better. I have a TEK-STYLE By Design. I got it from summit racing and it cost me about 300. I installed it myself in about 30 minutes.

Thats is what I was hoping to hear. Pace-edwards make an electric lock that connects to the electronic door locks, two taps on the fob and its open. So that would make for a pretty secure bed, but not having to turn the back of the truck into a large trunk witha Tonneau cover.
