Icon3 Will 96 Step bars Fit a 2003?

I found a 1996 Mazda for sale at my friends house, Its a real sweet truck. B2600, with twin sticks, 4x4 and K & N intake, It has like no rust and ex cab. only $2500 but it has 350,000 km's

But Anyways It has black tube style step bars on it, and the seller said he'd give them to me for $100, passenger side has a slight bend up.

Will they fit on my 2003 is it the same? Or is there a kit to make them fit? do you guys think its worth it? there not rusty

.

I'm not sure on the fit, but I don't think that's a very good deal.

If they don't fit you just need to fab up some new brackets. That's the whole point of modding though aint it?

Is the truck a 2dr? Is your truck a 4dr? How do they mount to the truck? Frame or body?

IF mounted to the body, 2dr bars dont fit on a 4dr truck. 4dr bars dont fit on a 2dr truck. Thread answered. lol.

If the back doesn't open, it's a 2 door, lol.

If you have a 2 door Super Cab, they should work. If you have a 4 door, probably not.

yeahhhhh....if the back dont open, it's a 2dr xcab. lol.

Go take pics, post 'em in this thread, and i can tell ya if they'll fit or not.

I've been fightin' with factory step rails recently...i've got a 4dr, bought 2dr ones w/o realizing they wont fit. Then bought 4dr ones. And now i'm modding the 2dr ones into 4dr ones. crazy.

2-door cap (short cab or ext cab) and 4-door cab steps are not interchangeable. They are all the same with front bracket, but the rear bracket is different. Making two door ext cab steps fit a four door is as simple as changing out the rear brackets (if you can find them). Or you could do some custom fab work. Also, $100 seems a little steep for 13 year old steps, one of which is bent.

Take one off and get some pics and post up here, we can tell you whether or not they fit.

Factory steps brackets unbolt from the steps. BUT....the only way to move a step or replace it with another factory bracket requires 5/16 or 3/8 nut serts being zipped onto the step bar. That's something I'm about ready to do to my '07 2dr bars, and them placing '02 4dr brackets to it.

Bad deal. Pass on it.

And yeah, B2600 is only 88-93. Probably a 2300 or 2500 that he has.

Pass on 'em man. just pass on 'em. they are messed up, and you are paying too much for 'em. Plus they probably wont even fit your 4dr.
