Window Tinting?

Well, I did a search and came up with nothin.

How much does it cost to get windows tinted. I know that at different places or different areas it's different pricese. But what did it cost you? Well, for the 2 side windows and then a sliding rear window. Also, does anyone know what the legal tint is for kansas? Thanks

flat windows are easy to tint yourself. Google search Kansas legal tint limit. Go to a local place for local price.

for the rear slider, 2 back windows, and 2 front it cost me $175. and of course the lifetime warrenty and such.

you should figure anywhere from 130-190 depending on the place/quality

it depends on the state you are in and what % you get...

usally, the darker you go, the more it will cost (at least thats true about washington dc area)

The place that would do mine for $120 was booked for 2 weeks. Then I went to another place that said it would be $160 because they use "the best"..etc...I think it's called Llumanar or something like that.

Well, thanks for your inputs. Now I have a slight idea on what to expect. How dark is 35% as that seems to be the legal limit all around for kansas?

if you go 5% on the rear windows (slider and 2 small) and 35 on the front 2 it looks really good and u wont be hassled by the cops. Thats the % i have on my windows and i would get the same precentages again

oh and you so wont be pulled over for having your back windows tinted...

I think I paid around 125 just for two fronts. I paid too much

I've heard that you can get "pre-cut" tint off ebay and do em yourself. Supposedly the hardest part is the cutting.

Don't know about the quality of it though.

I'm kinda riding a loophole

I have no front license plate and over the legal tint allowed.

In Jersey NO tint is allowed in the fronts and must have the plate. However my plates are from Ontario.

Funny thing is...Ontario laws are the same as Jersey. heh

When I'm visiting home, I'll put my plate on and take my chances with the tint.

In the SE corner, I've heard of salina, don't think I've been there though.

I think maybe 20-25% on the rear and 30-35% on the front 2 should be fine around here. I don't think the cops care that much here, well atleast not in my town, its pretty small.

Does anyone have a pic of tinting that's around 30%?

I've checked ebay and google, can't find them for 92 rangers. The years are like 82-89 93-97 and so on. I thought the 89-92 rangers were the same? Why can't I find it for 92 rangers?

I don't think I would waste money on trying to do it myself. I'd have a place do it in town. Monday I think I'm going to call and find out what it will cost.

Thanks for all your inputs.

Well, I never called haha. But tonight at the truck and tractor pull I was talkin to my cousin with a late 80's i think, dodge ram 1500. He had the to front windows and back window done for $130 with a lifetime waranty. I'd expect that it would cost about that much for a ranger, if not a little less.
