had an idea earlier. bare aluminium on the raised part, similar to how you guys do the powerdome.

Hmmm, interesting, very interesting.....

Maybe clear coat it after polishing the hood.....in an attempt to match the aluminum up to the chrome trim on XLT's.

 

why not just paint the hood chrome color? i've seen a whole car painted chrome and it actually looked good!

 

cuz i dont have any chrome paint just layin around. i do have almost a gallon of clear tho.

I think that would look terrible, that is just my opinion though if you like the look go for it.
