Front skid in the making

Picked up some metal from Ace Hardware since there closing.

this piece was 33.99 originally and everything in the store was 80% off so i snagged it :) I start measuring and bending tomorrow!

off topic but i wonder if all the ace hardware stores are closing, i can think of 5 near me that are closing


i may also have to go get some if they have it 80% off

what!>? Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folk. Madden approved! My local ace is a franchise...privately owned store with the ace name and products.

Don't forget to keep us posted on the progress of the skid. How thick is it??

good deal. I picked up some diamond plate from menards. 24"x24"x 1/8" for $45!!! A peice!!! I had to get two piece too. geez. But at least it is cheaper that buy a new radiator every time I wheelin. Size of a quarter? does that mean a quarter inch or like 1/8"?

lol well heres an update. i went for a walk yesterday in the woods. and what do u know, i found more metal and its huge. its the size of two questers stacked. so im gonna take it to school and sand it down and make brakets for it. should be done by tomorrow, ill take pics!

i took a plasma cutter to it today. ill take pics in the lab tomorrow but im going to start welding it in class tomorrow!

hows it coming?

I realy want to see how it looks and mounts. I plan on adding a skid st some point to my truck.
