what would be the best way to cut the license plate box template

air nibler (sp?)

using a sawzall, cutofwheel, or plasacutter would work but it will involve alot more cleanup

I used an air cut off wheel. Just trace out your box on the tailgate with a permanent marker and then be sure to cut inside the lines. Then just file or grind down the edges until the box fits snugly into the hole. Weld it up and your good to go.

id use a cut off wheel..and take your time cuz tailgates get hot REALLY fast and your tailgate will look like a big wave
