Illuminating new addition...
So i bought myself a welder a couple weeks ago and fabbed a new widget for my truck. It's not 100% done but I wanted to share:

The rock guards are only on there while I was fitting things so the lights did not get messed up. I still need to have it and the rest of the rack media blasted and re-powder coated. What do ya think? |
very Nice work!

Well I managed to get the whole thing finished and mounted on my truck this week. I am very satisfied with the results.

That looks really, really good! Goes nicely with the brush guard on the front.
|
Looks good, I like it. Lets get some night shots.
|
I'd like it more if your truck was lifted.
|
Thanks for the compliments guys...

I want to try that "PreKey Mod" and either the chevy drop shackle lift or taller blocks, though I am leaning more toward the shackles since I am not a huge fan of blocks to begin with. One silly question which I am sure has been covered to death but,.. If I go with say a 31 or 32 inch tall tire after the suspension lift, how much of an MPG drop can I expect, if any? I have the 4.0L with 4.10s and a 5spd manual. |
You by chance never lived on the East Coast did you? I just noticed your name.

Agreed, with all that stuff on the top my truck looks really tiny.
