Lower Control arm Frame Rot

Lower Control arm Frame Rot

Hi I have a 2002 ranger 4wd and the frame is rotted out where The lower front control arm bolts to the frame, Does anybody have any photos or video of how to or how they fixed this problem Thank you Dave

Older thread (I know), but if the frame is rotted, to me, you want to fix that regardless of where it is. Cut out the crud and weld in a some new solid metal to keep the frame solid. Then it would just be a matter of getting the mounts for the control arm back on there.

Honestly, if she's rotted there, where else is she rotted out at? 'Cause that's an uncommon rot area....other areas are far more common, leading me to believe the frame is not worth saving...

It may be time to give up on that truck...
