My front hitch in the making
My front hitch in the making
I have a 2wd and sadly do not have any front tow hooks. So, I was bored at shop monday and cut some parts to start making me a hitch.
I used 3/16 angle 5in long for the frame attachment points and 2in .25 wall thickness tubing for the bar. I had to knock the angle to fit behind the frame horns but left the bottom so I had something to weld to. I guess I am going to have to weld it to the frame. I know alot of people have welded theirs on but I am still worried about doing it.
I am going to let my stepdad weld it all together though. 22 years welding expirence is better than my 1 year. I am the machinist, he is the welder.
