I agree with making it solid but for $45 I think it's great!

Haha I kept looking at my truck bumperless for weeks, and I like the look as if it had a rollpan, so I made it like that lol

Looks good. A lot like mine. I too don't really like how you can see everything behind it. Very functional though and you can always add something to fill it in.

Looks great man! You should paint it to match the secondary color of your truck, I think it'd look sick!

$45 can? not bad. I would stick mine out a little further, just in case something hit me or i back into something. But yeah a little sheet metal to fill the back of it in. Nice looking.

Same with the look of behind it, I took my spare out and put it in the bed, but still, the underside is brown from mud haha

If I back into something, the hitch will hit first. And if someone hits me, it's a free undented tailgate lol

did you do a hitch-mount plate? I did that for mine, had some spare 2"x2" tubing leftover, and just welded a 1/16th plate to it and voila! ...just had a bit of an issue with a license plate light.... damn laws, oh well, I still dont even have them on my truck now haha....i should really do that

I'll go take a pic of it later, but I tie-rapped it to the bumper on the driver side, and tie-rapped the lights to the bottom. Hard to explain but it doesn't look too bad
