Pipe Bumper
Pipe Bumper
i know a lot of you aren't really into the pipe bumper thing, but oh well i like it. it is 6" OD 1/4 wall well casing capped with 1/4" bullet resistant steel (no purpose it was just what i had laying around). the brackets are 1/4" plate welded to the Reese hitch. the bumper is also my air tank for my long tube air horns. the horns are mounted horizontally and opposed inside the toolbox. we cut out the sides of the box to stick them through. the bumper still needs to be painted(i'll probably bedline it), my tag needs to be mounted, and my pump needs to be wired and plumbed. where do you think i should put the tag?

the room between the toolbox and the bed.

yeah, they are the gun hole covers off of this:

my dad did a LOT of fab work and such on it for the sheriffs office here.

Not my favorite style, but looks good. You should mold the plate to the round form of the bumper, but you'd need to weld studs on there so it could be removed and then just put nuts and washers over the studs to hold the plate on.
