Matt, does your exhaust come out before the tire? I have made some shorter so you can keep your exhaust there. what type of measurements do you want?

yes my exhaust does come out in front of my passenger tire, im looking for length, and width cause the ones i have now don't stick out far enough, im looking for them to serve 2 kinds of purposes, one is to help me bounce and slide off of objects instead of doing damage and the other is to have step sides that i can actually get my foot on, the step sides that i have now are way to close to the body

I made these for Mike, he has the side exit exhaust. I asked him how long he wanted the passenger side. Also with mine you set the pitch they mount at because I just send the legs unwelded.

I have also bashed them against rocks several times with no dents yet.

this is what i have, the exhaust tip sticks out about 3-4 inches [IMG][/IMG] i was thinking about just cuttng the exhaust off and have it come under a normal size rock slider, what you think?

I wouldn't, if you actually use the sliders then the pipe would be crushed.

Hey Zach, I saw the question asked, and Im not sure if it was answered or not.

Would it be better to bolt sliders on, or weld them?

I know that some people (including myself maybe) might like to take the sliders off....maybe?

Im curious, even with using all grade 8, could bolting them on be as strong as a solid weld?

why would you want to drill holes in your frame? if you weld them on you can cut them back off with a grinder in a few minutes.

Welding is going to be stronger for sure, I tried bolting and the options are just not good on our frames. If there was any other option i would say some type of Ubolt or clamping system. I jsut dont have the tools or resources to pump out a million bolt on brackets. Once you get my sliders you can do whatever with them really.

I would dump it under the frame. that is how I run mine and will continue to do so.

Those are the number of mountings legs between the sliders and the frame. 3 will work for most but some hardcore guys like to use 4.

Its just ties the sliders into the frame more, thus making it stronger.

I only use 3 per side, it is more than enough it just seems like some people think they need 4, so i offer it.

for anyone interested I will start making these and getting accurate quotes after next weekend. I am just swamped and trying to get my truck done and out of the shop until march. So I currently dont even have room to bend tube. I am not trying to ignore anyone.
