Sliders!

ha ha ha ha ha i bet you all were like OH SOMEONE IS SELLING SLIDERS.... not so...

i want a set for my truck, where to i get them? who makes them, any way to mount them by bolting them? i was reading zabeard's thread from september, and they were saying you have to weld them to the frame? i don't want to do that...

is there any company who commercially makes them?

You could buy a set of Beards sliders and get a bigger mounting plate and drill holes through it and the frame and mount it. I will tell you this, they would go on a whole lot better of you were BL'd.

bl will be eventually... people have managed to convince me they aren't completely evil...

on that topic, there is what, 6 bolts on the box? how many bolts for the cab?

somehow i have a feeling this isn't something i can do at home with just a bottle jack...

Did mine at home with a floor jack and a little help from my wife (watching wires and the like). The cab and entire front end are held in place with 6 bolts, the 4 cab bolts have some type of loc-tite on them so a propane torch is definitely needed/ helpful. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

id have at least one buddy to help ya. for my BL we used only hand tools. no torch was needed. i guess the truck was new enough at the time.

definitely need a floor jack and some planks of wood to stack and get to the right height and to distribute the weight of the cab on evenly so you dont dent anything.

Get the BL before you mount the sliders.

yeah BL for sure before. because you'll regret it after because then theyll sit low and look dumb. and you probably couldnt even do the BL because the sliders would be blocking the jack from jacking up the body. and when you're BL'd they dont have to have any angles in them. the bars can come just straight out

Id love to get a set of Beards sliders! They complete the truck after a body lift IMO.

i meant if you did sliders then did a BL they would be sitting 3" lower then what they were compared to the body.

and maybe they can work without a BL. i was just assuming by looking at it.

Gotcha and ya, it's a tight fit without the BL.
