sliders

made these this weekend. legs are made of 2"x 2" x 11 ga square tubing and the other is 3" x 2" x 11 ga rectangular tubing. had some different angle cuts but you can see it in the pic...

took me a while to get it right...

all of them made and tacked together..

everything tacked together..

crappy cell pic of one of my welds...not the best, not the worst. itll do though..

done.

Those look really good. I'm a fan. How'd you attach them to the frame? Actually weld them up or just bolt on?

i was originally gonna use round tubing but somehow decided to use square tubing. i even have the round stuff still in my garage. oh well.....square is definitely easier to work with

Looks like the same sliders that I am thinking of lol. Looks like they are going to cover alot, and save your rockers. Square is the way to go, much easier to work with, and I think it looks better.

I like those a lot! Round or square for me? This just made it a much harder decision.

Looks good!

I know it doesn't matter too much really for you, but most of the time when doing an angle on two parts (like on your 'legs' to the frame), people bisect the angle, cutting it on each part (you've got a 10* and 15*...should be 12.5* and 12.5* cuts). that way you get two surfaces that are identical and mates up perfectly (one side isn't bigger than the other like you've got it now). Basically makes a nice mating surface and welds better.
