yep, took 12 3/8" out of it.

most precise measuring i've done in a while. most of the stuff i've been doing, like the skid plate i made, has just been holding it up, eye balling it, marking and cutting haha

Nice. Did you guys use a handle relocator so you can still open/close the gate like factory?

naw, that was way too much work.. i just took the panel off the inside and i can open it by pulling the pins that were connected to the handle

putting the floor back in helped a ton more.

but idk. it probably helped a bit, between that and the ratchet strap i have holding 2 more spares in the bed..

Looks good. At first I forgot what you had done to the bed and I was thinking that for some reason you were putting hinges on the side so the tailgate would open out and not down.

You should remover the website sticker off the tailgate now and throw a little white spray paint down that seam.

Almost looks like a stepside tailgate would have been close.

I don't believe it is, I was asking if that's what yours was, due to the picture of it written on there, lol. I suppose I could go measure one for you. Or maybe somebody with a stepside could, as I would have to go find one, LOL!

It looks as though yours is still a tad bid wider then a stepside, IMO, but I could be wrong.
