Oh yea, its on.. Kinda a "why not" deal. So it started out at Wayne's (graniteguy). guess-ta-mated where i wanted it, took a few quick measurments, tacked it.. beat it with a hammer, then welded more.. it ended up being a little **** eyed because i hit it a few too many times with the LFH (ha)...

anyways, heres what it looked like this morning

After the 'measuring' hammering and tacking.

After trying to 'persuade' the core support with a 20 lb sledge and angle grinder and being only slightly successful I turned to one of my best friends.. the torch

Size: 163.0 KB

and what do ya know.. it fit

Size: 81.3 KB

Then I put the grill back on. and DAMN it that a nice fit or what?!

Its even got teeth looking things.

Now i need synthetic line, and hook up all the wires... oh yea and support the bottom of the grill somehow

www.masterpull.com

There's other lines out there, but this stuff is incredible. Mine been beat, and under some HARD pulls with the hydro, and it's still good.
Tom Barcia had his snap (operator error on a sharp edge) and they fixed it for him for free. Stuff just dropped, no recoil. They put together a custom line for my hydro (no heat resistant on the inner wrap and no hook)....great customer service. You will pay though....but TOTALLY worht it!

good question, looking at the pics i may just attach it to the core support on the left side.

I don't think any company will give any warranty, too many variables with UV damage, rocks, etc. I can say that the customer service from them is great. I can also say I've used the crap out of mine, and no issues. Stuff is expensive, but stronger than most.

and here i was thinking that now that i had a winch people would lay off the lack of a bumper, guess I was wrong haha

yea but it would be nice not to destroy my grill, headlights, turn signals, core support and header panel (wahts left of them) and the hood

don't worry, if i build a plate bumper its gonna be like wolfmans, nice and tight along the body and not sticking out too much.. if I build a tube bumper its not gonna stick out any farther than the fair leads do.

Came out good Matt. Did you have to undo any of the welds that you did at Wayne's place?

bleh! Gimme the money and pay me for the time I'm missing at work and I'll get right on it

Wayne has this cool tool up his sleeve for making a bumper.. so I'll most likely be building a low profile plate bumper.

Build it on the weekends, steel prices are still reasonable, bet you could do it for $200 or so in metal
