Mine is mounted on my jeep because my train horns took up the stock location and my bed doesn't have room for a full size spare.

My spare is sitting in my driveway. If I pop a tire (which I have) I carry a tire patch kit and an air compressor, just repair it right then and there.

I'm going to order up a Tiregate Bedmount. Looks pretty simple and has a cable to lock the tire keeping people from trying to take the spare. Tire Gate- Bed Mount
