Looking for help with nitrous...

So the car that I'm looking at has all forged internals etc and has a 150 wet shot.

The car has a momentary push button for it, but I want to switch to the WOT switch. Also, it does not have a purge kit, so I also want to install one of those eventually.

Can someone explain to me WOT switch and what "window" is?

Brenton

WOT switch will only engage the nitrous once the pedal is to a certain point. it is mounted to the throttle body, so that when the throttle plate opens up almost all the way it will hit the switch, and activate the solenoids to allow nitrous to flow. the window switch is more of an electronic deal, its there to activate the nitrous at certain rpms. so that if launch hard you wont have nitrous flowing at low rpms and blow the tires into smoke, but rather it will spray the nitrous when it hits the rpms it set at.

a normal wot switch has no controll over rpms only throttle position. Now if you had a digital programed nitrous system you could controll rpm function . The base digital system is around 1,000-1,200 an a rule of nitrous is set the switch at full throttle only with a normal power switch for the whole system (fused) an only spray above 3000 rpm
