I noticed Explorer Express has taken down the pricing for the Ranger supercharger kits....you now need to "call for pricing"

I hope that's not a sign that they are getting ready to pull the plug!

you need the UPS store address. when you type in the shipping adress on the site or when you call. that is the address you give.

Have you ever just thought of swapping in a 5.0? You could swap it in, AND build it up with a bore, pistons, springs, and crank for half the price of getting a single supercharged kit for the 4.0 - plus, youd make just shy of the same horsepower, but it would have way more grunt to it. and its a v8.

My truck is too new for a 5.0 swap. I would have to do a 4.6 swap... I can't havethat kind of down time on the truck

yeah but with a m112, what are you really gaining unless you build the bottom end? the m62 already puts you at power levels which you are pushing the bottom end.

not without meth and a really good tune. add that to the price and you're pushing 7g's or more ( here in Canada)

the m112 is intercooled which IMO is far, far better than meth. you don't need to build the bottom end to run an m112.

anyhow, I was just giving him another lower cost option with the opportunity to upgrade if he wishes.

If it were me,I would just leave the truck as is and buy something else to play with.
