Would this Supercharger work?

I am not looking at doing it but I rember seeing it in a magazine like 4 years ago and since I got my Ranger have always wondered if there was some way to get this to work on our trucks. I know its for an escape but same engine in a way! I also know the engine is in a diffrent way.

ummm, being that the escape uses the 24V DOHC 3.0, not the vulcan like the ranger, i dont know how well that would work seeing as theyre different engines...

I bet they will soon make one for the weak 4.0 in the Mustang and that will be a Ranger cross over

yea, the 3L in the escape is the same engine in the contour, cougar, and mystigues, just a larger bore, and different cams. The 3L duratec is a stubborn engine, but will handle nice power.

on that note, they are a lil to much apart to be able to adapt that to the ranger.

Possible, but will it fit in our engine bays. Looking at their other SC kits it appears as if they would be about $3500.

Edit: I just called Kenne Bell and they said they have no plans to develop one. I think we are stuck with the EE.

The kenne bell is for the 3.0 DOHC, not the 4.0

Could this motor for the escape be a possible swap? Just curious. Don't think it would be worth it, but will it bolt up?

I highly doubt it will bolt up. You will probably need all the usual swap parts. Tranny, ecu, motor, whatever else.

yea if you get the entire motor and wireing harness and computer and everythign from an escape and bolt that in then you can most likely use the SC for the escape...
