love the truck, honestly it looks great. my dad had an 03 and damn did i love the truck. the only thing that gets me about yours is since its a solid paint job, and not two tone it doesnt really give me that true king ranch feel. we had one of the first super duty king ranches and its just something thats always something thats stuck with me. i hope you dont take it as knocking your truck, because i lovee your truck and i get after my dad every day for selling his. but again. love the truck man. looks amazingg

I think the solid paint sets if apart from most King Ranchs! I always thought the two tone on them made them look like old man trucks lol. I can see how not being two tone does take away from being a KR since two tone was part of the package.

Oh god no I was kidding. Stacks are for standard cab pre-98 diesels only in my opinion. You go ahead and keep that bomb bed cover on as long as it keeps the stacks off lol.

I figured you were, but I still like some of the stacks. :sgrin:

98liftedranger 02-16-2011 12:41 PM

Is it lifted yet? Try and keep up with beard. So your next step is lifting the superduty then would be 2.5 tons under the ranger. Can you have it done by the weekend?

ZWilson07 02-16-2011 08:27 PM

truck looks good as always. I know you have the other truck for ofroading and im sure you all dont get any crazy amount of snow, but if you put a leveling kit, just enough to lift an inch or 2 and some sick MT's mainly just for looks like the duratracs on those stock rims, it would look SUPER sick. Im sure thats not the smartest thing to do and you prolly dont need new tires, but thats what id do, even for just a look if I could afford it.

It would look good but its close enough to level for me and the tires only have 8000 miles on them. Maybe some day when the tires are worn out I'll get some better looking ones.

I hear ya and I figured that'd be the case, I did notice that your does sit fairly level and better than most do stock, so you'd prolly run into the problem beard did and your front would be to high and you'd need a bigger block in the rear lol. But it would look sweet lol.

I want a king ranch f250 so bad!

zabeard 02-17-2011 01:46 PM

I wouldnt lift it, ruin the functionality of such a great work truck. I took my leveling kit off. If you want it let me know.

And I agree about the stainless tip. I've been looking at them but I just have other things higher on the priority list lol.

I have a tip sitting in my garage if you want it. Need to buy a 5" exhaust first though. ;)

BILTRITE BULLIES 02-17-2011 02:33 PM

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll have to pass for now. I'm just not sure a leveling kit is what I want for this truck right now.

Haha, yeah 5" exhaust would be pretty sweet but I'm content with the stock exhaust with no cat lol.

I've only seen one SD this colour before . . . to which I just about drove my loaded Peterbilt into the back of a cop car starring at it, no lies!

Those rear captain seats look soooo comfy. There was a 11' King Ranch on display at a rodeo last year, they had to ask me to get out before I fell asleep in it. Would love to find a good set for mine (front)!

-----------

+1 for the 5" for your truck (the 6.0 whistle is boner-ific, lmao), and -1 for zabeard getting a stack setup. :icon16:

zabeard 02-18-2011 07:58 PM

Ill pretend you didnt say that ;)

Thanks the color is pretty unique. The turbo has a pretty good whistle to it even with the stock exhaust and deleted cat.

Mmmmm. Got my coolant filter from dieselsite yesterday and installed it today. Took about 30 minutes. Now in a couple of months I'll change the filter, chop it up and see what it caught.

Very nice! I'm just about to order one for myself any day now from the same place. That billet filter housing looks so nice and clean. Did you put in a valve or anything in-line to the filter?

zabeard 02-19-2011 01:55 PM

Wow yours mounts up there? Mine is clear down on the frame!

Yeah I got the optional ball valves and there is one on the inlet and outlet side of the filter block. And that billet filter block is nice, its solid and feels like a very well made piece. Its the main reason I picked the dieselsite kit. I thought about going with the sinister kit because of the nicer hoses but I didn't really want all that blue junk under my hood haha.

On the frame huh? Is it hard to get to? I haven't seen one mounted in a 6.4 yet....
