King Ranch interior

Just wanted to post up some updated shots of the interior on my F250. When I got this truck the seats were badly neglected. To my knowledge they had never been cleaned or conditioned until I bought the truck. I have been working on them for the past couple of months to get them back into good shape. I've now treated the seats with Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner 4 times. I treated them again yesterday and tried a new product called LeatherCPR. I could not find it locally so I had to order it, but its much better and easier to use than lexol IMO.

Anyway, here are the seats as they were when I took delivery:

And here they are after 4 lexol treatments and 1 LeatherCPR treatment.

The Front seats still have some grime deep in them but they're looking MUCH better and almost look like they should have if they weren't neglected. Several more treatments and they should be like new.

Awesome Ryan, thats a huge difference. It surprises me how many people don't take care of the seats like they should, I see them on Craigslist all the time in terrible shape

Thanks everyone, I'm happy with the way they're cleaning up.

The steering wheel probably looks like your dads. Its very dark and will probably never come clean. I've cleaned it every time I've cleaned the rest of the leather, but once it dries it doesn't look any different. I don't have much hope for the wheel, at least the 'dirtyness' is uniform though lol.

Steering wheel pic added to first post.......

Bottom part of it is not so bad. The top is still pretty dark after being cleaned several times.

Probably sun damage for the most part.

Yeah my dads is like that, a lot darker on top. It's because that part of the wheel gets touched more than the lower. Well, in his case atleast.

Yeah I think its mostly hand grime. I'm sure the sun doesn't help though. I think the sun is probably what faded the front seats out so much. They were faded way worse than the back seats were, so I'd like to get the windows tinted to cut down on the sun damage a bit.

Someone has had some nasty hands. Soap and water does wonders.

It's the oils in your hands or any grease etc. If you dropped a greasy french fry on one of the seats you would have one hell of a time getting it back. Even water can stain the leather, when you get water on the seats it makes them turn black almost until it dries. You have to remember the seats are raw leather and not sealed or anything.

Yup this leather will soak up anything that can be soaked up. Its high maintenance and that why it looks so bad if you ignore it.

Ryan, off-topic, but when you inviting me for a wheeling trip? In your Ranger of course. Mine wouldn't make it very far.

Whenever you want. As long as its on a Sunday lol. I'm ready though, just don't have anyone else to take a truck out, unless Koyn wants to take out his 4x2 FX4 lol.

Haha, we should plan something. We could wait for Koyn if he'd hurry up.
