Some clean Lariat pics...

So spring cleaning came a little late for my Lariat this year but I finally got around to detailing her today. She got a good scrub down, the clay bar treatment a coat of wax and I shined up the plastic and even put a little tire shine on the tires. She cleans up pretty nice I must say. BTW, I went back to Mothers clay bar kit this year after trying Turtle wax Ice clay bar and Meguires and I must say the Mothers kit is much better.

Great lookin truck. :biggthump

Looking good. I find that Mothers Clay bar does work better than Meguiers. i'm not much a clay bar guy, but what i have tried seems to have worked.
as always, still befuddled as to why you have dealer plates. My old man has a Dealer license and i still can't get my hands on any.:headache:

How are those Destination ATs treating you?

I love them, They are probably the best AT tire ive ever had on any of my trucks. I hate to say it because Im a diehard BFG fan but these beat the BFG AT's in the snow and rain and they are cheaper.

Would you rather have those destination AT's or go with an MT?

I know you really dont havta worry about it beens you have a 4x4 ranger with MT's on it lol but if you had to choose just one like if you only had one 4x4 like me, what would you get?

The AT's im sure are alil more comfortable but the MT's look SO much better especially in a 33 and bigger size.

On this truck i prefer an AT. This truck rarely see's more than a dirt road and dealing with 4-5 months of snow driving in the winter the AT's work better for me. Plus since this is my DD I need a tire that gets better mileage and will last longer than an MT.

MTs may look better but if you are driving 50 miles to work everyday in the northern states are off road once a year I think the law of practicality says that you should stick with ATs.

Good to hear! My dad is in dire need of new ATs for his 09 Sierra and I was either gonna have him go with Destination ATs, or pay a bit more and go for the Dueler Revo2s, or even a step more and get some Micheline LTX AT2s. But when it comes down to price those Destinations are a great deal and I've heard nothing but great things about them.

I had duelers on a different truck and I wasnt impressed with the winter performance. Dont know about the Micheline's though.

I'mwith you on the Duelers. they came on my truck before i bought BFGs.
however, I know that the Michelin LTX's are it. i've got a buddy who has about 75k on his right now and they still look GREAT. rotates them every 3k to the mile.

The LTXs are the top of the line mild street AT. The mileage they get is incredible. You pay for it though. They aren't cheap.

Is the AT REALLY that more comfortable than an MT?

I mean im not going to lie my Duratracs dont ride to bad at all especially for their tread. I really cant see an AT riding THAT much better than these. I may be wrong beens ive never had a good AT or anything but was just curious.

I can honestly say if the AT's are only going to ride a tad better, ill stick to these MT's all day long. The looks are much much better and as most know with the Duratrac tread, im really not giving up what the AT is going to offer due to the fact the the inside tread is AT and you outers are MT. Plus with sips cut all over the tire for ice traction it really is kind of an all around tire for anything you could need.

Again just speculating, but was curious what your opinion on it is.

Well duratracs aren't a mud tire to begin with so comparing them to an MT is a mute point. From my experience AT's handle, ride and perform better in snow and ice than an MT. Sure I like the look of an MT but id much rather have the on road and winter perfomance of an AT on a truck that is driven 30 miles a day on the highway and rarely see's more than a dirt road. Sometimes you have to choose function over form.
