Tow Mirrors

Well I picked these up tonight for a really good price, and they turned out to be better then I had thought. They were on a truck that was bought in Phoenix and driven out here. They were taken off right away in favor of the smaller stock mirrors because the owner did a lot of driving in the desert in tight places.
They were on a platinum, less then 500 miles, the guy got an 8" lift and stock mirrors. He was really rich. So I picked these up off the guy that installed all the stuff (shop owner). He told me that after all that work the guy wasn't happy and went out and bought a Raptor. Anyway the pics. I am not sure if I will install them or not. They are power, lighted and everything. They were in his shop for over a year. https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1329101723 https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1329101723 https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1329101723 |
I'm not a fan of Chrome covers. i'd rather have painted. but its still a decent score.
Does your truck come pre-wired for all that junk? I can't remember. |
Very nice man!
|
I'm not a fan of the chrome either but the price was right and I could triple it easy. I'm not sure if it has it all or not. Well I have power mirrors now just not sure on the lights. I will have to check and if not maybe just splice them in.

Jealous! I wish I could find a set of decently priced tow mirrors for my truck. Wanna trade for an xcal 3? lol

I don't know I'd have to think about it. What kind of offer you putting on the table?

LOL. Post up pics when you get them installed so I can be more jealous

I have to figure out the wiring issue since I don't have the mirror mounted turn signals currently. I'm not sure if I have the wiring there or not. I have too look and see or find the info. Either way I will probably put them on on Tuesday or maybe tomorrow night after work.

I think the only wire you have to run is for the puddle lamps. I also believe that there a ground pin that must be relocated. Check f150 online
|
The mirrors have a plug on them. There aren't any free hanging wires.

I was going to try and get them in this morning but it is raining and my truck is too big to fit in my garage. I might still do it anyway.

Mirrors are in! Pics soon.

I wrote a How-To on F150-Forums if anyone is interested. That has a lot of pics too. But here is the comparison and the finished products.

Overall I am very happy! I can see everything now. They did take a few minutes to get used to though. I have to figure out the wiring for the puddle lights and the turn signals. When I do I will add more pics. |
Those look great, someday when I have a Fiddy, I'll have those mirrors too
|
Thanks! I have wanted them since I bought the F150.
