Turned her over

Rolled the truck over on the way home saturday after wharton.

Car infront of me stopped quick I tried to stop to prevent from hitting them and the rear came around then rolled onto the drivers door, then rolled onto the roof, then onto the passenger side, then back onto the tires.

No other cars or people were involved. The car that stopped infront of me didn't even stop to see if I was ok.

Earl was still loading his truck on his trailer when I left so he caught up to me maybe 10 minutes after it happend. Earl was nice enough to my drop his truck off then come back and get mine and trailer it all the way home.

Big thanks to Earl, a super guy and super friend.

I had my seat belt on. The EMT's looked me over and said I didn't have anything life threatening and didn't think a trip to the ER was needed unless I wanted to go. Which I did not. I am heading out to see my regular doctor in about 20 minutes. My sholder hurts and I have a lump on the back of my head. Insurance guy is coming out after 1:00 today.

Truck was still running when it stopped rolling. I drove it on to Earls trailer and drove it off the trailer into my driveway.

The passenger side extended cab window and the center sider of the rear window are the only windows that didn't break.

All suspension and drivetrain parts seem ok.

I am unsure of my plans until the insurance gets done.

I am really sad and really bummed about the truck but I guess The Lord still has a use for me.

It all happend so fast. I am laughing about it now. I was kidding Earl on the way home that the next truck we have to put a roll cage in.

I had a piece of glass inbedded in my leg about 3/4 of an inch I pulled out. I see my doctor at 12:30 today.

Damn Ben. I'm really sorry to hear that. The truck looks like it's a loss, but I'm extremely glad that you're OK.

Damn Ben I'm really sorry to hear that! You had such a good lookin' truck! My insurance company totalled my truck without ever seeing it because it had rolled. The possibility for frame damage and such is just too great. Those Ranger cabs can sure take a beating and keep their passengers safe though, and that is most important.

What happened to the other car?

hope you got all your stock stuff to save the RCD for the next one. And it looks like the BL did well in a complete rollover.

I know what happened now, similar thing happened to me but luckily I saved it, think the drums may have had something to do with it? (lock then slide...)

I've noticed that too, when I have to stomp the breaks the back end seems twitchy. Thought Rangers had 4wheel ABS?

they do but it sucks, or it could just be that pesky drum lockup that alot of us deal with...
