RCD is the cream of the crop. I have a link here to a site that sells it for 2200 bucks. 5.5" lift. If I had the money I would spring for this one.

i would beg to different being just the fact that the RCD front shocks are spongy and the coils SAG MAJOR over time you have to max them to get full lift out of the coilovers, and new coils are pricey.. i would rather have the superlift just cause if the T-bars sage there only $60 for 1 class #1 torsion bar.. alot cheaper to replace, and for all those people "t-bar mounts hang down and are gonna brake" 9999999999% that say that have NEVER seen this lift in person OR held the damn brackets there made out of THICK heavy *** steel if you brake those hats off to ya...

very good points made there.........Superlift does NOT make cheap stuff....if they did they wouldn't be one of the best lift kit companies on the market......

Or you could go all out and get a Dixon Brothers, for about $4,000 to $5,000 total.

i am looking at the rcd kit cause i have so money but idk, does the rcd give more wheel travel than the superlift or vice-versa? and what about the cv angles with the superlift compared to the rcd?

if you dont like QA1, hypercoils generally sell for $63 a spring.
shocks felt fine to me, and ill take whatever extra clearence under the cab i can get. at the same ride height the RCD has a better CV angle as well.

i dont care who thinks what is better. they all have thier strong and weak points. jus gotta check em out and see what fits you needs best.

RCD for several reasons.

Just by seeing kevins truck (superlifted) his ground clearance is very low (tbars are the lowest point) and they brush/scrape a lot. CV's are at a bad angle (not terrible, but RCD puts it at a better angle). The sway bar end links are CRAP!!!!

But I must say, for price/lift it's awesome. Easy to replace parts, awesome for a DD/weekend toy, but I personally would get the RCD if I had the money. Don't get me wrong, the truck looks awesome and it's only about an inch off my truck (he got a lot of lift from it).

i would do the rcd lift to i already have a 3 inch body or if you don't want it that high superlift makes a 3 suspension and you can crank 4 out of it

t-bars suck.......

That's the oem t-bar cover. Not sure if the SL uses the cover or if the kit supplies it's own. But the t-bars are kept in OEM position if I recall.

your forgetting the RCD still drops the cross member to the same high as the superlift sooooo still have the same clearance problems...

ya in the front of the truck where it does not hurt as much... mid truck leaves you with high centering problems

i have seen both in person.....the RCD on Scott's (big04ranger) truck & the Superlift on Zach B.'s (zabeard) truck......like stated above, they both have their strong points and their weakness'! EVERYTHING DOES..........in my opinion, if i were buying a lift kit for a '98+ Ranger, i would go with the Superlift because it is 1/2 the price of the RCD......

Throw in the SL DS at $400 (+/- $5) and the SL kit is just shy of being as much as the RCD kit. There's a link on ORR for the RCD kit at $1971 + shipping.

A search for the SL kit K357 and K358 (kits that work on 98+) are returning results of $1450-$1500 + SL DS (400) = $1900 + shipping.

Now granted it would be wise to also get the SL DS for the RCD kit. But none the less, pricing is almost the same.

you will HAVE to have the Superlift driveshaft for the RCD also......it isn't just for the Superlift kit.....a '98+ Ranger when you lift it needs the different driveshaft because of u-joint angles......the double cardon driveshaft is more forgiving than the stocker...
