Holy CRAP!!!

Could this really happen??!
The truck oil pan is keeping it from sitting all the way down (5" more).
That is 6.0 LS with 1,000 hp S475 turbo I am building for a 1981 chevy Caprice.
I just wondered if it would SQUEEZE in there 😳

Got the filler port in the side of the fender. 45 degree elbow to match-up to the hose from tank.

Some copper elbows fit the bill perfectly. Nice, tight turns, with no restrictions. Bending this thick wall PVC fuel hose, causes crimps.
The vent tube will follow up to the highest point under the bed. It will have a check valve and filter on the end.

A little hard to see, ... but I sliced the top of the frame rail and bent it down to about 45 degrees, then plated it back in. This allows the fill hose to pass up between the frame and bed, without any issues.

Best weight transfer will be with the battery behind the right rear tire.
Doing all I can to help traction.
** If I find I can't get it done with leafs, I will change to coil-overs, (in a heart beat)!

Running battery cables.
Added a secondary layer of hose, (to prevent wear on battery cable. Sparks and gas tank might NOT work out too well !!

Added outboard hanger for exhaust.
Now I can cut the oval I have been talking about.
I needed to lock down the pipes, so I can get a close/clean fit.

Lightning-like exhaust exit.
Still need to cut the oval in the lower part of the step.
And give it a BATH!
The bed has been outside, waiting for this day!

Next comes the battery mount/tray. This wil be behind the fuel cell. Then the truck bed will go back on to fit exhaust exit and fuel filler door and hose.

The cell is cushioned with foam rubber between the angle iron and alum tank. Anywhere the aluminum can touch the frame or mounting brackets, there is rubber cushion to protect it from chafing.
