150 mods

Thought i would throw some pics of my 150 on here.
This is when i got it. 07 XLT 4x4, chrome package with 19,000 miles.

Added bugshield and handles.

Boat launch

2.5" hell bent steel leveling kit, MBRP Xp series 3" stainless SI/SO exhaust, Bully Dog Gt tuner, EZdown tailgate damper, K&N drop-in.

Pioneer AVH-3300 BT, Kenwood 6.5" components in front, infinity coaxials in back, JL Audio stealthbox with 800W Kenwood bridged, cell phone mount.

Waiting to use up these tires and then picking up a set of terra grapplers. Probably their 35x12.5 size.

I like the chrome with the redfire metallic paint. Its not completely mexi-ed out with chrome, and its not getting everything blacked out like every other bro truck on the road. The handles and mirrors are getting PTM this summer. They are all faded already.

If it were mine I would color match the chrome bumpers, swap for a honeycomb bezel, ditch the running boards (unless you need them, then paint them black), get harley davidson heads and tails, 09+ badges, and non chrome wheels.

But that's just me, I hate chrome on newer trucks. Most newer trucks I see look so much better with more color matched parts.

I got excited when I saw the title... thought I was going to see 150 mods done to a truck. I'm only at 25 so wanted to see the other 125 ideas

Kind of defeats the purpose of the OP buying a truck with the chrome package dont you think? Color matched everything is lame IMO.

OP, nice looking truck. Cell phone mount is nice, been looking for something like that for my Lariat.

Thanks man. Here are some more pics of how i did it.

There its a grommet in the hole where the wire comes through which finishes it off nicely.

I was debating putting a hard cover on, but i always have lumber, ladders, snowmobiles, etc. sticking out the back. So i stated looking into the tri-fold ones. I found this Advance Cover for $75. The four sections fold on top of eachother and sit up by the cab. It can be removed in 30 seconds if need be. It locks and is pretty watertight. All in all, i am pretty impressed with it.

I didn't realize he bought the chrome package. I actually forgot that package existed.

I agree that color matched everything isn't exciting, but I just don't like a lot of chrome on newer trucks.

I think it has a nice touch of chrome. The bug deflector is debateable...but I don't dislike it.

Bigger tires will make it look real solid. Love that color too

I'm a little nervous about them rubbing. I might have to put spacers on. Everyone that runs this size says that they only rub at full lock. Just doesn't seem like there is very much room between the spindle or the uca. I guess I'll just have to find out.

They fit without spacers. Just the look i wanted.

I just snapped few quick ones, I'll get some better shots later on.

I also swapped out the dome, map, cargo, and license plate lights with LEDs. Then i added some puddle lights under my step bars. They are waterproof strips that i cut to length, soldered, shrink wrapped, and heat shielded all wires, then tapped into the dome light wire. They go on when you hit the unlock button on the key fob, or when you open any of the doors. When you close the door, or hit the lock button, they fade off. They are bright as all hell, and only cost me $5 for a 16' roll off ebay.

New tires look great! They definitely change the looks of the truck. Nice LED setup as well.
