04 1 fiddy u-joints
All I can say is....wow. Was looking into buying a F-150, but a new Silverado just bumped into it's spot. How the hell do they design and then sell something so stupid. Special tool to grind out the staked cups instead of the normal clips? Really? Then to top it off, the dealer puts a normal white man u joint back in it when they replace them? Dumb dumb dumb.

heh, heh, heh,
heres what i can say about the newer f-150s (2012ish +)
If your in the market for a 150, buy one NOW. or before 2012. They wrecked a few of them (thats how i get to see them, i make them roll so they can be hit again) and come to find out, All the body panels on the F150 are ALUMINUM. you ever tried to bondo aluminum? you can't!
to top off the stupidity, the structural supports are steel, now any metal worker knows you don't just throw aluminum on top of steel and bolt it together, so the bright idea they had was a piece of steel meshed fiberglass. with steel rivets in between the support and truck.
like i said, if you want a fiddy, get it now.
